Hey everyone! My name is Ashley, and I’m a 29 year-old from Wisconsin. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Erik, and we are in love with our 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Reggie. He’s named after Reggie White, as we are avid Packers fans. My husband plays baseball professionally, and I work as an acute care physical therapist. We are serious movie watchers and are legitimate Harry Potter and Marvel fans. We love to spend time with our friends and family, and adore our first (and only) niece, Violet.
I work and manage our house and puppy while Erik spends most of the year on the road, traveling for baseball. We have made this lifestyle work and have learned to appreciate and support each others’ aspirations. Our newest challenge has been that of trying to start a family. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) two years ago and more recently added endometriosis to my medical problems list. I am still learning about these diagnoses and the implications they have on fertility.
I decided to start this blog in an attempt to vent my frustrations and share what I have learned in my experiences. The more I talk with friends and family, the more I realize these struggles are shared with many women in various degrees. Thank you in advance for reading, and I hope you share whatever you feel you can!
